Enjoy the music of Ume ("oo-may"), who premiered the first single off their upcoming album earlier this week on Noisey/VICE. The Texas garage rock trio are set to release their sophomore effort via Dangerbird Records this coming March.
We've all hear about the impact "Google Glass" could have on covering events and this footage from DJ/Producer Nicky Romero is very interesting and somewhat ground breaking too. I love the perspective and I think this is the tip of the iceberg.
Philadelphia -- Doreen Taylor isn’t a perfomer that you can place in one genre. If you say she’s country, she’ll rock out. She’s very versatile with her voice and now her stage presence. After all this wasn’t just a basic concert this was more of an experience that she was trying to share with her audience.
Matt Santry opened up for her and he was an engaging guy, with good raw talent and a solid band. The acoustics in the venue were perfect and he was a solid opening act.
I remember the original Lynyrd Skynyrd vividly. We played their music at house parties and everywhere else. Tour manager, Ron Eckerman talks about how he became their tour manager and his stories about Ronnie Van Zant and company give the readers amazing inside access.
There is a great story about an exploding ketchup bottle in a diner that is absolutely hilarious.
I enjoyed reading about Skynyrd playing softball against Billy Graham’s team. Ronnie was a good player but most of the band wasn’t.
