If you want to assess blame as to why Darrelle Revis is now a member of the Tampa Bay Bucs and the Jets got the 13th overall pick and a fourth round pick in 2014 that could turn into a third rounder. WOW. Assess it. Many have earned it. Everybody but the fans. Its hard to believe they traded a franchise player for that.
The New York Jets have a pretty high-powered offense, that’s for sure, but in the NFL most will attest that the teams with the best defenses win Super Bowls. You have to be able to score points but keeping the opponent off the board as much as possible is the name of the game.
Years ago when Bill Parcells was an NFL coach if you fell asleep in one of his meetings you might be released, if you were late, same deal. Rex Ryan clearly doesn’t have those kinds of rules in place and it became apparent when Darrelle Revis was pulled over for a speeding ticket this week. The coach said he was late for a meeting and it looks like the injured d-back will still play this week. He wouldn't if I were in charge.
The Jets have a solid defense, good pass rush and Darrelle Revis is still their best player, however, the Jets lost to the Ravens because of bad play calling which is something that has been an issue for this franchise forever.
