East Hartford, CT (Rentschler Field) - The Providence Bruins (25-28-3-1-) defeated the Connecticut Whale (27-22-2-6) by the score of 5-4 courtesy of a late regulation goal by Jamie Arniel and the lone shootout goal by Maxime Sauve. Both teams braved frigid temperatures in the teens and strong winds to battle through this outdoor matchup!

The 40th Lester Patrick Award ceremony had four winners this year, Former NHL star Brian Leetch, hockey broadcast legend Stan Fischler, hockey historian, John Halligan and Team USA standout Cammi Granato, they were all being honored for their outstanding service to hockey in the United States.
