BCS vs. Playoff Debate Heats Up as 2011 Ranks Roll Out
Over October's middle weekend, the 1st BCS Rankings of 2011 were unveiled to various speculative reactions. Many of these opinions turn towards an alternative, as broadcaster Jonathan West has developed an NCAA Division 1-A football playoff based on BCS Rankings and keeps current post-season BCS & traditional bowls intact- separate from a playoff.
Vicki Bendus Wins 2010 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award
MINNEAPOLIS – Vicki Bendus (Wasaga Beach, Ont.), a junior forward from Mercyhurst College, was today named the 2010 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award winner. In its 13th year, the award is presented annually by The USA Hockey Foundation to the top player in NCAA Division I women’s ice hockey.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Denver, which twice defeated Michigan Tech University last weekend, is the new No. 1 in this week's USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Men's College Hockey Poll. The Pioneers, who improved to 22-6-4 on the season, accumulated 504 points and 28 of 34 first-place votes.
