It???s hard to dictate a who will go to the World Series without knowing who???s playing who in what round, injuries, and all of that noise.
However, things in the American League turned a bit on its ear when the Detroit Tigers choked away their division title to the Minnesota Twins, who was the hottest team in all of Major League Baseball down the stretch.
Taking it one round at a time, let the intangibles run through the blood, and momentum either take hold, or be overrated. In the meantime, the Twins won themselves a date with the AL West champion Oakland Athletics and home field in the series, while the Tigers dealt themselves the consolation prize in facing up with the New York Yankees.
A special display commemorating the reopening of the Superdome in New Orleans officially opened at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
???The Hall of Fame joins the NFL as well as the millions of fans nationwide who celebrated the return of football to New Orleans and the Superdome,??? commented Steve Perry,
President/Executive Director of the Hall of Fame.
???The stadium???s renovation has served as a symbol of the hard working community that continues to fuel the revitalization of New Orleans following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina last year.???
Among the artifacts donated by the New Orleans Saints from last Monday night???s game include:
the coin flipped by former President George H.W. Bush in the pre-game toss, the football used for the opening kickoff, the jersey worn by Saints wide receiver Joe Horn, a lithographed team signed football, and a commemorative towel distributed to fans who attended the game on
September 25.
Reactions always welcome.

#1 Ohio State meets up with Big 10 brother Iowa ranked #13 in the country in Iowa City. Both teams are 4-0, and while the Buckeyes have been tested facing and beating two ranked teams so far this season (#2 Texas; 24-7 #24 Penn State; 28-6), the Hawkeyes face their biggest test of the season against the country???s top team.
The big chatter is regarding the last time these two teams met up at Kinnick Stadium in 2004, and Iowa lit up Ohio State, 33-7. However, Heisman candidate QB Troy Smith came in for garbage time, and has been running the show for the Buckeyes ever since.
The National Women's Football Association, which recently created and adopted the slogan, "Baby...Look At Us Now!" has now produced the official logo for the slogan.
The logo was designed by FS Designs, owned and operated by Francis Santaquiliani. "Francis has done 99% of our league's logos and all of the NWFA's logos. He's one of the most creative and talented logo designers around and we have worked with him since we started the league in 2000," states Debby Lening, VP of the NWFA.
The league hopes the new slogan and logo will create more interest and both fan and corporate support. " The NWFA and it's teams are the hottest ticket in sports and once people see a game, they're hooked," Lening adds.
