Russ's Rants - 10 Things I Learned About Wild Card Weekend

1) T.O. is a team killer and he may never win a championship because he is too much of a distraction on a weekly basis. I think Bill Parcells will retire (again) and leave Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to clean up the mess. For those of you that think that Parcells doesn???t want to go out like that he did just that when he was the coach of the Jets.

2) The Jets will always be the Jets. New coach, new players, same old Jets. Good thing they have that one Super Bowl win to live off.

3) Jeff Garcia is inspiring and the Giants are the second biggest flop I have seen in years (see Chiefs). The Eagles train rolls on without Donovan McNabb much to the chagrin of his mother.

UCLA Can't Duck Past Oregon

(EUGENE, OR) - The UCLA Bruins were on line to send the game into overtime, but a bad possession with 13 seconds and an awful shot at the buzzer made a great comeback an afterthought as the #1 team in the country fell to the Oregon Ducks, 68-66.

Oregon nearly ran the Bruins out of the building in the first half, and held a five-point lead with just under two minutes to play. Darren Collison made two free throws to bring UCLA to within three points, then hit a straightaway three-pointer with 22 seconds remaining to tie the game.

Oregon's Aaron Brooks came right back down the floor and nailed a 15-foot jumper to give the #17 Ducks their last lead of the contest.
