One stick to the right eye from Mikhail Grabovski October 24th, 2011 set Chris Pronger on a course that he’s still currently on.

Proving we still don’t know enough about concussions (he got one in a December game in Winnipeg), coupled with an eye problem, to know if he’ll ever fully recover.

A few years back when I was at Ft. Meyers interviewing for my “Remembering Fenway Park” two targets were Sox manager Terry Francona and sports writer Dan Shaughnessy. In my opinion they were at the top of their game and could provide many insights about Fenway.
Both guys were busy. Both guys had better things to do then pass the time of day with me. Nevertheless, both guys gave me as much time as I needed and their stories and insights added immeasurably to my book.

One of the best part of the New York Toy Fair is just freestyling, just walking around the show floor and see what you find. Every year there are slot car manufactures, but for some reason this year I stopped and took a look at the Carrera booth. They had a nice display out front with a digital set and cars running pre-programed course.

The NHL leading Chicago Blackhawks are on a mission. Disappointed with their early exit from the playoffs the last two years, the Blackhawks were a tired, unhealthy, and unfocused team. Call it a Stanley Cup hangover if you wish, the fact is that the Blackhawks of the past two seasons, only in part resembled the team that hoisted the city’s first Stanley Cup in nearly 50 years back in 2010. Several factors can be attributed to the resurgence in the play of the Chicago Blackhawks that has led to their recent record setting performance.
