FLYERS FANS FIND PUPPY LOVE AT GAME

DATE: Sunday, March 21 at 7 p.m.

PLACE: Wachovia Center, Broad Street Atrium, 3601 S Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19148

DETAILS: In an effort to help find homes for numerous unwanted pets, the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) will showcase their adoptable furry four-legged friends to Flyers fans when the team hosts the Atlanta Thrashers.

Flyers fans can rescue these dogs and cats by registering to adopting a pet at the game or signing up to receive more information.

Fans attending the game are also asked to donate items such as paper towels, bleach, trash bags, canned cat food, clay litter, and fleece blankets for the pets. Donation bins will be located at all entrances.

PAWS, one of the many initiatives of the Flyers Wives, rescues dogs and cats in need of permanent homes and is expected to save the lives of at least 2,000 to 3,000 pets this year.

Tickets to all Flyers home games, including the Flyers vs. Atlanta Thrashers on Sunday, March 21 at 7 p.m.; the Flyers vs. Minnesota Wild on Thursday, March 25 at 7 p.m. (Dollar Pretzel Night presented by SUPERPRETZEL and Comcast-Spectacor Foundation Basket Auction); and the Flyers vs. New Jersey Devils on Sunday, March 28 at 7 p.m. (Fan Appreciation Night), are on sale exclusively through ComcastTIX at PhiladelphiaFlyers.com or by calling 1-800-298-4200.

The Flyers have a special St. Patty’s Day package, which includes two lower level tickets to select home games in March or April, a voucher for a 6-pack of wings with two beverages at PJ Whelihan’s, and a pair of Flyers/PJ Whelihan’s pint glasses.
