No Major Blockbusters Yet in NHL Trade Deadline
So far the biggest deals in the NHL trade deadline include New York Islanders defenseman Andy Sutton heading to Ottawa for a 2010 2nd round draft pick and Edmonton Oilers defenseman Dennis Grebeshkov packing his bags and heading down to Nashville, also for a 2010 2nd round draft pick.
Other deals included the Chicago Blackhawks sending defenseman Nick Boynton to the Anaheim Ducks (for future considerations), the Boston Bruins sending forward Matt Marquardt to the Edmonton Oilers for defenseman Cody Wild, and the Atlanta Thrashers dealing defenseman Nathan Oystrick and a conditional pick in the 2011 draft to the Ducks for forward Evgeny Artyukhin .
Lots of defenseman and lots of vowels!
