5/16/2011 – Asheville, NC - One off the most recognizable voices in music, the legendary Jon Anderson, best known for his work with Yes, Vangelis, Kitaro and other notable music artists, as well as his innovative solo efforts, is preparing to release one of the most highly anticipated albums of the year, 'Survival & Other Stories'. Featuring eleven new luminous songs with themes about love, life, understanding, healing and survival, Jon's new CD has an inspirational message for all who will listen!
The Maine's new album is a Warner Brothers release and right from the get-go I had a feeling that I was listening to a band with some Green Day influences and possibly a few other bands, but after I heard the CD a few times one thing was certain, this is a solid effort.
The band is:
John O’Callaghan – Vocals
Jared Monaco – Guitar
Kennedy Brock – Guitar
Garrett Nickelsen - Bass
Pat Kirch – Drums
I listed the band like this for a reason. They are very well balanced and like a solid ensemble cast in a movie, this band is a well oiled machine.
This 11-year-old female singer has put together a song about putting an end to bullying and teasing and it’s amazing to me that a young girl like this could use music as her vehicle. She attends Lakeside middle school in California. Here are her lyrics:
