(Hamilton, Ontario) - The opening riff and extended drum roll intro to Jambi, set the tone for the second solid, sold out TOOL concert in Hamilton's Copps Coliseum over the last two weeks. The penetrating chords of bassist Justin Chancellor, followed up with a hard-hitting, around the kit, drum solo, set fans to their feet throughout the sold out arena.
The July 9 show, the first scheduled concert in Hamilton, was in support of the platinum selling 10,000 Days CD, released in 2006. A second show was added - sold out within minutes - for June 24.
Complete with technicians sporting lab coats, the shows featured twelve songs, with heavy rotation off 10,000 Days, over a two-hour set as images of fused TOOL videos flashed behind the artists.
Provocative and intertwined bodies with indiscernible faces, and existential themes flickered on two big screens, hung on either side of the stage. The entire background of the stage was split into three screens, sometimes in sync, other times tripped out with some bizarre images.
The July 9 show was attended by the more casual TOOL fan, given that the first show was the second booked, this makes sense.

Trio Confirmed For Lollapalooza And Plan A Full US Tour This Summer.
Monday, May 21, 2007: New York, NY: Multi-platinum selling Australian trio Silverchair - Singer/Guitarist/Songwriter Daniel Johns, drummer Ben Gillies and bass player Chris Joannou - have signed on with Warner Music Group's Independent Label Group to release their fifth studio album, Young Modern, in North America on July 24th 2007. The album will come out on Eleven: a music company, in association with Warner Music Group.
Jesse Malin – Glitter in the Gutter has a raw sound that isn’t too poppy for a rocker like myself. “Don’t Let Them Take You Down (it’s a Beautiful Day)” is a simple song that hits home for me. The second song “In the Modern World” shows that this artist has some diversity in his music. The 4th song, broken radio is a duet with rock legend Bruce Springsteen that is very easy to listen to and it has an edge that only “The Boss” could bring to a song. This album is a gem and one of the best from a relative new comer that I have heard in quite a while.
(Philadelphia, PA) – The Rockstar SuperNova tour has begun and so far there is a lot of positive buzz surrounding it. The band got their singer Lukas Rossi from the program and their opening acts were from the show as well.
Fans of pop have the American Idol tour but this tour has some balls that the Idol reunion concerts can never have. It’s really the difference between Rock N’ Roll and bubble gum pop.
(Atlantic City, NJ) – This tour is an interesting mix of styles and it features two bands that have been playing to millions of fans over the years - - Journey and Def Leppard.
Journey has gone through some changes over the years but even more recently lead singer Steve Augeri, who sang on the bands latest album Generations, had to leave the tour in July because of a throat condition. Enter Jeff Scott Soto, who sang for actor Mark Wahlberg in the movie Rockstar besides playing with guitarist Neil Schon and his band when he wasn’t touring with Journey.
