To mark the first edition of THE FDH LOUNGE on Wednesday nights on SportsTalkNetwork.com (7-10 PM EST, following a run of 39 shows previously on Sunday nights), The Dignitaries of The FDH Lounge convened to hold our "fantasy supergroup" draft this past Wednesday, December 10 (archives of FDH programming available here). Having previously dabbled in the application of fantasy sports competition outside the realm of sports (i.e. competing to draft the most attractive team of female celebrities and also drafting presidential candidates in our 2008 political league), we celebrated the occasion by competing to see who could compile the strongest rock band by utilizing a standard serpentine draft.

Supporting their new album "Black Ice" AC/DC had a realistic steam engine on the stage with some tracks ready and smoking with an amazing CGI intro that included the devil himself and trampy chicks. Then the band came out to an explosion of pyrotechnics all to the tune of "Rock N Roll Train".

The show started out with Z02 warming up the crowd at The House of Blues in Atlantic City, New Jersey. They played a set and it was pretty good. Lead singer Paulie Z has a lot of charisma and a great vocal range. His brother David Z (bass) and Joey Cassata (drums) all do a nice job backing him up. By the time they left the stage they had sufficiently lathered up the crowd for Alice.

Longtime rock/folk singer Jackson Browne played the Tower Theatre in Philadelphia and after a two-hour plus show it was clear that this music veteran can still bring it. What can he do for you? He can entertain you without the use of pyrotechnics, or scantily clad women, or overly loud sampled music.

David Moore is working on an album that will released in the near future and in the meantime he is playing some scattered dates around the country so he can share some of his new songs.
