I remember the original Lynyrd Skynyrd vividly. We played their music at house parties and everywhere else. Tour manager, Ron Eckerman talks about how he became their tour manager and his stories about Ronnie Van Zant and company give the readers amazing inside access.
There is a great story about an exploding ketchup bottle in a diner that is absolutely hilarious.
I enjoyed reading about Skynyrd playing softball against Billy Graham’s team. Ronnie was a good player but most of the band wasn’t.

P.O.D opened it up with “Lost In Forever” for the most part their set was good but the a few things that cast a shadow on their set. The first was the fact that lead singer, Sonny Sandoval, at times was almost screaming the lyrics and during the set he spit on stage. It was gross and vulgar.
Renowned guitarist Steve Howe is set to host the first Cross Styles Music Retreat from August 19-23 at Full Moon Resort in the heart of the “Forever Wild” Catskill Forest Preserve, just one half hour west of Woodstock, New York. Guitar players of all ages, levels and styles are invited to join Steve Howe and other guest guitar instructors for this unique music camp--the first of its kind for the longtime Yes guitarist and founding guitarist for supergroup Asia.
