Did You Read These in 2007?

Undefeated is a book with an interesting and unblemished title. The author, Dave Branon, wrote this for Bethany House, and he covered 34 player profiles. They are all inspirational stories and one of them is of pitcher Paul Byrd. The book points out a few gestures that he made out on the mound for his mentor, a Baseball Chaplan representative, when he was ill. It was a touching read.
All of these profiles are written concisely and they are very quick reads. They include such stars as San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson, former San Antonio Spurs star David Robinson, St. Louis Cardinals star Albert Pujols, racecar driver and Darrell Waltrip. The idea about a faith-based book about athletes may not be everybody’s cup of tea.
After reading the Dany Heatley profile I saw quotes that I have seen many times before and I have to say that I always enjoy a book that more fresh quotes, call me picky.
