Atlanta, Ga. – August 3, 2011 – While baseball fans in Texas and St. Louis likely have big interest in the 2011 World Series between the Rangers and Cardinals, Americans do not.

In a Poll Position national scientific telephone survey, 1,110 registered voters nationwide were asked if they are interested in the World Series and the resounding results were ‘No.’

Of those polled, 55% said no, 36% said yes with 10% not having an opinion.

The Fall Classic is not faring well along racial lines. Among whites, 57% said they have no interest in the World Series, 35% said they do have interest and 8% had no opinion. African-Americans weighed in with 54% saying they are not interested to 32% who are. Fourteen percent had no opinion.

Men said they are not interested by a 50% to 44% margin. Women really showed no interest with 59% saying no to 27% saying they are interested.

Poll Position’s scientific telephone survey of 1,110 registered voters nationwide was conducted October 23, 2011 and has a margin of error of ±3%.
