This was a hard list to make. I really tried to take into account every era and all of these players impact on the sport. The game has changed drastically over the years, especially with the early rule changes that did affect statistics. The Negro League statistics weren’t exactly accurate so I had to take that into account as well. So here is my list and the list from the folks who voted:
1) Babe Ruth - He dominated the sport like no other.
2) Ty Cobb - He could play in any era.
3) Hank Aaron - Some called him a compiler but he was amazingly consistent.
4) Ted Williams - The greatest hitter of all-time.
5) Willie Mays - The most complete ballplayer of all-time.
6) Joe DiMaggio - There was nothing he couldnt do and he did it better than most.
7) Walter Johnson - A dominating pitcher who blew away the opposition.
8) Tom Seaver - He got the most out of his frame with his perfect mechanics.
9) Albert Pujols - His OPS is legendary.
10) Sandy Koufax - His short dominant stint is legendary in the regular and postseason.
