In my travels I always come across some interesting hockey stories and players. Many of them I keep tabs on “see” what happens to them in the course of their respective careers. Well I found an ex-Flyers goaltender in the LNAH. What is the LNAH? Check out an old piece we did on the infamous Quebec fighting league.

Well there was one name Flyers fans recognized. Lefebvre was one of the two or three “scorers” the team employed and he said he wanted to go back to school so this was a way to pay for that.
Sticking with the LNAH theme, Jeremy Duchesne has landed there. He has 3 assists and a 16-3-2 record. Hey he’s still playing hockey. One of his teammates is Dany Roussin. He has 25 goals, very easy goals, and he’s most well known for playing on the same line as Sidney Crosby back in Rimouski. He had two seasons that totaled 233 points. Well as we all know now it was a product of Crosby although Roussin was drafted twice. Once by Florida (223rd overall in that amazing 2003 draft and 50th overall by the Kings in 2005). The Canucks picked Mason Raymond right after him!
Tomas Hyka (40 points in 34 games this season) got hurt in the World Junior Championships but in the regular season he’s tied for the team lead in scoring in Gatineau. I had a chance to see him play there this year and his teammates really like him as well as the local media. This kid loves Philadelphia and he will be a 2nd or a 3rd round pick. Maybe the Flyers will take him since they had him in camp. He would be a future improvement and can be better than Harry “Z” as an example.
Another player they had in camp was Michael Houser. (my scouting report below)
*He has performed well in the regular season and playoffs for them. He’s fast up and down, as a lot of hybrid goalies are. He’s good on angles but his glove could be a bit faster. He could soon be the Flyers best young goalie in the system, not playing in the NHL. But he was never signed. If they draft him I stand by the statement. He has performed well in the regular season and playoffs for them. He’s fast up and down, as a lot of hybrid goalies are. He’s good on angles but his glove could be a bit faster. He could soon be the Flyers best young goalie in the system, not playing in the NHL.*
Right now he has a stellar .926 save percentage for the London Knights. Considering the Flyers are always “looking” for talent between the pipes if they have a pick and he’s still available in the 5th round I’d take him. You never know what might happen in the future so you always have to keep the cupboard stocked up and having one more good young goaltender in the system is always a plus.
